About Tarion
Tarion Warranty Corporation is a private corporation established in 1976 to administer the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act which outlines the warranty protection that all builders must provide to new home and condominium buyers in Ontario.  Tarion licenses home builders and ensures that they abide by this legislation, and that consumers are protected when builders fail to fulfill their warranty obligations.  Since its inception, over 1.9 million homes have been enrolled by the Corporation.

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure effective movement of mail, packages and documents within the Customer Centre, Corporate Office and regional offices in a timely manner
  • Open, sort, stamp and distribute incoming mail/courier packages to the appropriate departments
  • Data entry using Microsoft Excel to log incoming financial documents
  • Printing of Licensing & Underwriting documents and forms
  • Collate and assemble printed materials for registration packages
  • Effectively carry out day to day operations of a mailroom
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries from external Couriers
  • Use Purolator and Canada Post software to create waybills for outbound packages
  • Assist with set up of meeting rooms
  • Assist with supply order requests
  • Reconcile weekly/monthly invoices
  • Respond to Corporate Services online requests
  • Provide direct support to the Corporate Services Supervisor, as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 – 2 years experience working in an office environment, preferably in a mailroom
  • Minimum High School graduate or G.E.D. (or equivalent)
  • Must be highly accurate, well-organized and detail oriented
  • Strong knowledge of MS office and mailroom office equipment 
  • Knowledge of Purolator and Canada Post online software
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Proven ability and a keen willingness to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
