In order to renew your registration with Tarion, the following documents must be submitted:
- A completed and signed Application for Renewal form;
- Current financial statements and/or personal net worth statements with appropriate back-up;
- Renewal fee of $300
You must renew your registration if:
- You still have unsold units in inventory;
- You are awaiting a Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT) hearing and/or decision;
- You intend to build and/or sell new homes in the next 12-month period.
If the renewal documents are not received by Tarion before your registration expires, you will be required to reapply with full documentation (at a fee of $600).
Cheques should be made payable to "Tarion Warranty Corporation". On average, Tarion will require four to six weeks to process a renewal. Any new conditions of registration will be sent to you in writing.
