In order to renew your registration with Tarion, the following documents must be submitted:
- a completed and signed Application for Renewal form;
- current financial statements and/or personal net worth statements with appropriate supporting documentation;
- renewal fee of $500.
You must renew your registration if:
- you still have unsold units in inventory;
- you are awaiting a Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT) hearing and/or decision;
- you intend to build and/or sell new homes in the next 12-month period.
If the renewal application form, fee and documents are not received by Tarion before your registration expires, you will be required to pay a further $500 fee, if Tarion allows your renewal to be reinstated.
Cheques should be made payable to "Tarion Warranty Corporation". On average, Tarion will require four to six weeks to process a renewal. Any new conditions of registration will be sent to you in writing.

Fast Track Renewal
If you are a freehold builder or vendor having built five or fewer units in each year of your last three registration years and you are in good standing with Tarion, you may be eligible for fast track renewal.
If eligible, you will be sent a Fast Track Renewal form. The signed form, along with the renewal fee of $300 must be submitted to Tarion 30 days prior to the renewal date.
If the Fast Track Renewal application form and fee are not received by Tarion before your registration expires, you will be required to pay a further $500 fee, if Tarion allows your renewal to be reinstated.
Fast Track renewals can often be processed in one day.
