More than one third of all MPP offices at Queen’s Park, including MPPs from some of Ontario’s most active building markets, recently attended an information session and new brand presentation hosted by Greg Gee on the evening of Wednesday, April 21st.
Also in attendance at the event were Jim Watson, Minister of Consumer and Business Services, Peter Saturno, President of the Ontario Home Builders Association (OHBA) and our Chair, Bob Wade.
Although the new brand unveiling was the highlight of the evening, this meeting also served as an important opportunity to introduce ourselves and our services to new MPPs within the recently elected Liberal government. Conservative and NDP MPPs also attended the event.
In his address, Greg provided the historical context for the organizational improvements that have been made as part of our three-year strategic plan to modernize warranty protection in Ontario.
He then touched briefly on a few of these enhancements, including our new website (www.tarion.com), the new Customer Service Contact Centre, the Customer Service Standard and the doubling of deposit protection to $40,000 for freehold homes.
Greg also outlined the research and strategies behind the rebranding process, as well as the media campaign that will support it.
Information packages as well as a newly branded gift were also distributed to reinforce our new image and to encourage effective communication between Tarion and Queen’s Park.
The event concluded with the playing of our Brand Essence video, which was then followed by an informal reception
