The Toronto Star recently published the list of finalists in this year’s Tarion Awards of Excellence, an annual gala event that honours Ontario builders who excel in the area of customer service. This year's event takes place on September 20, and returns to the Liberty Grand Hotel.

The article reports that only about 7 per cent of Ontario’s 5,300 registered builders qualified for this year’s awards. These prestigious builder awards are based on criteria which include a rigorous selection process, followed by random homeowner surveys and builder interviews that were evaluated and scored by an independent research firm.

Winners will be selected in four categories: small volume, medium volume, large volume and highrise Builder of the Year.
