Tarion President and CEO Greg Gee appeared as a guest on the Roger's Cable Network Program, "Inside Real Estate," where he took questions from callers about Tarion and new home warranty coverage. The program, hosted by Christina Chernesky, airs live on Rogers Cable 10 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings 
  
While on the show, Mr. Gee answered calls from viewers seeking information about Tarion and what to look for when buying a new home. Throughout the program, he emphasized the importance of the Tarion Homeowner Information Package (HIP), which outlines all the steps a new homeowner needs to follow to qualify for full warranty protection.

Mr. Gee explained that builders are required to provide all new home buyers with a copy of the HIP on or before their Pre-Delivery Inspection, which is one of the first opportunities consumers have to view their home in its completed state. Mr. Gee also stressed that all new home purchasers should have their Agreements of Purchase and Sale reviewed by a qualified real estate lawyer before signing any purchase agreement.   

Mr. Gee was joined on the program by Jackie Hill, Group Publisher of New Homes and Condos Magazine and Maryjane Viejo, a real estate agent specializing in new homes in the Markham region. All three guests agreed on the importance of research when looking to purchase a new home. "For most people, buying a home is the biggest investment they will ever make, so it’s important that they look into a builder's background and talk to people that have purchased homes from that builder," Mr. Gee said.
