On Thursday, August 25, 2016 the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) provided Canada Post with 72-hour strike notices. The union will be in a legal position to commence strike action on August 28, 2016. Both parties have agreed to mediation, however there is a very real possibility of a postal strike occurring on Sunday, August 28, 2016 which would stop the delivery of mail as of Monday, August 29, 2016.
Here is important information for you to know:
You are still responsible for submitting warranty forms on time to Tarion. We cannot extend warranty form submission timelines as a result of a mail disruption.
If you are not already registered for MyHome, we encourage you to do so. With MyHome, you can submit warranty forms and requests for assistance online, and correspondence from Tarion will be posted to your MyHome account.
If you must fax documents to us, please send them to 416-229-3252.
If you need to submit registrations, renewals, or enrolments, please do so online using BuilderLink.
Payments for new registrations and renewals can be made online by credit card.
Enrolment fees can be paid online through BuilderLink where you have permissions for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). If you do not currently have permission and would like to obtain it, please contact BuilderLink Support at 1-877-6497 ext. 3812.
Claim invoice payments can be made by Visa or MasterCard. To do so, please contact Odette Faria at 1-877-696-6497 ext. 3866, or 416-229-3866.
To send cheques to Tarion, use a courier service or hand delivery. Do not mail cheques to Tarion during this time.
You are responsible for meeting all deadlines regarding sufficient notice for delayed closings or occupancies. We cannot extend these timelines as a result of a mail disruption. To provide notice of delays to purchasers, consider e-mail, courier, or hand delivery.
