Lesley joined the board in 2025 and her term expires in 2029.
Lesley Gallinger is President and CEO, Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). Under her leadership, the organization oversees the safe and reliable operation of Ontario's bulk electricity system, ensuring affordable electricity is available when and where people need it.
Throughout her career, Lesley has focused on driving strategic change within complex organizations to deliver shareholder and stakeholder value. As President and CEO of Elexicon Energy, she led the organization through a sizeable merger integration; and has held senior roles in the electricity sector that included Chief Strategy and Financial Officer at the ESA, and VP, Corporate and Regulatory Affairs and CFO at Oakville Hydro.
Lesley has strong board governance skills and sits on several boards, including the Ontario Energy Network, and is a member of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Member Representatives Committee. She has also served on the boards of the Nuclear Waste Management Organization, the Ontario Energy Association and the Electricity Distributors Association.
Ms. Gallinger holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Public Accountants in Ontario (FCPA) and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA Illinois). She has also completed the Chartered Director and Audit Committee Certified program at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University.
