As of February 1, 2021, Warranty Information Sheets are required to be attached to new home purchase agreements. For more information about this requirement please refer to Registrar Bulletin 05 - Builder Deliveries 

These documents provide valuable information to purchasers about their new home purchase and potential warranty coverage, including:

  • information about the Pre-Delivery Inspection, 
  • information on deposit protection/financial loss protection, 
  • information on how to sign up for Tarion’s MyHome warranty management portal,
  • the unique Home ID number for the home (effective July 14, 2025), and
  • a unique registration code and information on the importance of the purchaser registering their agreement (effective July 14, 2025).

Effective July 14, 2025, Tarion is introducing new Warranty Information Sheets with a unique Home ID and registration code. These Warranty Information Sheets must be attached to any purchase agreements signed on or after July 14, 2025 and must be generated by the vendor/builder using Tarion’s builder portal BuilderLink, which you can access here.
