Marni joined Tarion’s Board of Directors in March 2020 and currently serves as Board Chair, becoming the first woman to hold the position in the organization’s history. Throughout her tenure, she has played a key leadership role on the Board, serving as Vice Chair, Chair of the Human Resources and Compensation Committee, and as a member of the Audit & Risk Committee and the Governance, Regulatory Affairs & Nominations Committee. Her current term expires in 2027.
Marni is Executive Vice President, Infrastructure and Chief Legal Officer for the Canadian Premier League, where she leads strategic infrastructure initiatives critical to the growth of the Canadian soccer ecosystem. She is also responsible for overseeing the League’s legal affairs and works closely with executive leadership on expansion opportunities and long-term organizational strategy.
An accomplished executive with extensive experience in infrastructure, governance, legal affairs, and commercial strategy, Marni has held senior leadership roles at Live Work Learn Play Inc., Infrastructure Ontario, and SNC-Lavalin. Throughout her career, she has led major infrastructure and real estate developments, complex commercial transactions, public-private partnerships, and large-scale procurement initiatives. Her experience spans both the public and private sectors, with a strong focus on innovation, risk management, and organizational growth.
Marni has received numerous professional accolades, including recognition as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women, the Canadian General Counsel Award for Business Achievement, and the Women’s Infrastructure Network Outstanding Leader Award. In addition to her role at Tarion, she also serves on the boards of the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare, and CreateTO.
