The holey drawer: The results
Last week we showed you pictures of a hole that a builder cut out from the bottom of the drawer cable for access to the gas shut off valve.
We asked Samantha, a Warranty Services Representative at Tarion, to help us with the answer. “We had to determine if there was visible poor workmanship and, if in fact the valve was inaccessible,” explained Samantha. “We discovered that the cut out was not visible unless the drawer was pulled completely out from the cabinet, rather than when simply opening the drawer. Tarion confirmed that the valve was accessible.”
The answer: Not warranted.
